Twice Lifesize Monumental Tiger Sculpture
When the Albert Lea community decided they wanted a monumental tiger statue for their new high school, the Albert Lea High School alumni assocation started a fundraiser. |
It took one man to get the ball rolling and in two days he had the bulk of the donors signed up. The total donation of $100,000 paid for the artwork, the base and all istallation expenses.
Dedicated on April 8, 2001, Albert Lea High School received their new tiger mascot monument with over 100 people attending the ceremony. The combined effort of artist and architect resulted melding of natural stone with block and tile to coordinate the monument and base with the school's decor!
